Installing KMK on your Raspberry Pi Pico
So you've finished building your Pi Pico based keyboard and now want to make it work. Our keyboards use a firmware called KMK which is a lightweight CircuitPython based software which you will need to put onto your Pi Pico.
The steps to do this are incredibly simple, more so than other popular firmware packages like QMK which require a bit more knowledge in compiling the package and flashing it to your microcontroller.
Before we begin, you will need:
- Your Pi Pico
- A USB cable to connect it to your PC/Mac
- A copy of Circuit Python.
- A copy of KMK firmware; we have packaged it together with the configuration files for you to download here:
